Change is a four letter word. Well, not really, it is a six letter word but you know what I mean. Why is change difficult for most people? 

 

Well, for most of us, we like the familiar. We like things to stay the same and we certainly don't like surprises unless it is our birthday. The familiar usually means comfortable and who doesn't like to be comfortable?

 

Change requires us to move from the familiar and usually that which is comfortable in life to the unknown. And for most, me included, the unknown is scary. Scary means fear and fear paralyzes. 

 

So what's the problem? Why can't we stay the same? Well, without change, we would die.
