Happy New Year! I really like the start of the year. It is a time of fresh starts. The old year is gone and we now have a great opportunity to make 2012 better.

How, by first letting go of the old year. Where you have failed ask the Lord for forgiveness. 1 John 1:9 If there is hurt or someone you haven't forgiven then forgive and love them as Jesus forgives and loves you. If there is pain, allow the Lord to comfort you with His perfect peace and love.

Next, set new goals by prayerfully and honestly asking the Lord to reveal His will and purpose in your life. He may reveal your areas you need to improve in your life. In that case seek His power to over come whatever is revealed to you. He may reveal ministry areas that need your help. If so, go and do it.

Whatever you do this year, do His will for His glory. Colossians 3:17 says, "whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him."
