June has been a very blessed month. VBS was a great success with many new faces attending this year. The number of people who participated almost doubled from last year.
Our "Gus Bus" ran two trips each night to our neighborhood apartment complex bringing between 18 and 37 children a night. We had a driver and chaperones riding as well. All the kids arrived each night excited and ready for another night of worship, Bible study, and of course, recreation, craft, music, and snack time. Praise the Lord!
As of the writing of this article the total offering has reached $500.00 consisting of pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters, and the occasional paper monies. We still have Friday night's offering and Sunday morning to go. No telling what the final total will be. The monies will be used to support other neighborhood Bible studies that spread the gospel to children and their families in places we cannot go.
During our gospel presentation night I counted approximately 15-20 who asked Jesus into their heart.
I say a big "THANK YOU" to all who made this VBS great. It took a lot of people planning, preparing for months, and praying. Again I say thank you, and may God richly bless your lives as you continue to serve Him.
